elettroAQustica 11
elettroAQustica is a festival dedicated to electroacoustic music and intermedia sound practices, promoted by the meAQ Department of Electronic Music and New Technologies of the Conservatorio “Alfredo Casella” dell’Aquila.
Established in 2015, the festival provides a space for exchange between artistic production, research, teaching and experimentation. Its programme brings together composition, performance, music technologies, multimedia practices and new modes of listening, with the aim of fostering dialogue between artistic research and technological innovation.
The eleventh edition of elettroAQustica takes place in L’Aquila in 2026 and is centred on the theme Sounding the Posthuman. The programme includes concerts, research activities, keynote lectures, and opportunities for encounter and discussion within the artistic and scientific community.
Sounding the Posthuman
The theme of this edition addresses the transformations taking place in contemporary sound practices in relation to the growing presence of nonhuman, technical and environmental agents, as well as the increasingly complex relationships between bodies, technologies, environments, forms of computation and creative processes.
Sounding the Posthuman provides the thematic framework for the entire edition and shapes the dialogue between the artistic, scientific and performative activities of elettroAQustica 11.
CIM 2026
As part of elettroAQustica 11, from 13 to 16 October 2026, the Conservatorio dell’Aquila hosts the 25th edition of the Colloquio di Informatica Musicale – CIM 2026.
The Colloquio brings together the scientific, artistic and professional community working in computer music through sessions dedicated to papers, posters and demos, keynote lectures, concerts and other opportunities for exchange.
The activities of CIM 2026 form a central part of the programme of elettroAQustica 11 and are situated within the broader cultural and artistic framework of the festival.
