We are pleased to invite you to the 25th edition of the CIM – Music Informatics Colloquium, which will be held in L’Aquila (Italy) from October 13 to 16, 2026. CIM 2026 is organized by the Department of New Technologies and Musical Languages – Electronic Music (meAQ) of the Conservatory of L’Aquila in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila.

For over twenty-five years, the CIM Music Informatics Colloquium has been a key event for the Italian music computing community, a meeting place for scientific research, artistic creation, and technological innovation in the fields of Sound and Music Computing, electronic arts, and digital technologies for music.

The goal of the 2026 edition is to foster dialogue between academia, artistic institutions, and production companies, promoting the development of new tools, methodologies, and critical perspectives in music computing.

The program will include:

  • scientific paper presentations
  • poster sessions
  • demos
  • keynotes and roundtable discussions
  • concerts, performances, and sound installations
  • educational and workshop opportunities

We invite submissions of:

  • Full papers (max 8 pages)
  • Poster papers (max 8 pages)
  • Demos (max 4 pages)
  • Musical and sound art works (according to the criteria specified in the call for works)

Authors may submit multiple-track contributions. Both works in progress and more mature contributions are welcome, according to the requirements specified in the calls for papers and calls for works.
